The GroovTube is a unique device that makes breathing and oral motor skills visible and analysable on an iPAD. It turns your breath into real-time image effects, for use by people with breathing, speech, or oral motor disabilities.
The GroovTube app measures the strength of your inward or outward breath and uses it to blow up or distort a photo from the camera roll. The exercise gets tougher when you increase the threshold.
This app is based on the classic Fairground hammer game. Inhaling or exhaling will move the ‘mercury’ towards the top of a thermometer-style graphic. When you reach the top the bell rings alongside an applause.
The strength of your breath is used to move a set of billiard balls from the bottom to the top in different sequences. The exercise requires agility to accomplish and increases breathing awareness.
